Address: Bulgaria, Mezek
Katarzyna Estate is located in the most southern part of Bulgaria, 2 km away from the village of Mezek and about 7 km away from Svilengrad. The area is hilly, extremely scenic and still gorgeously wild.

On the hills and in the valleys grow typical for the region Lombardy poplar trees, low growing oaks and hornbeams, while the Maritsa river basin is covered with dense willow forests.

The soil is sandy and stony and therefore one of the main crops grown here is grapes.
The climate is temperate with strong Mediterranean influence. Quite important is the fact that a specific air corridor, formed by the Sakar Mountain and the Eastern Rhodopes, passes through the region.

The climate is mild with warm summers and mild winters, with relatively small annual temperature variations, the autumns are long and warm.

Katarzyna Estate owns 5500 decares of vineyards. The varieties of wines, grown here, are consistent with the climatic characteristics and the soil type of the region: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Tempranillo, Carmenere, Mavrud, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon Blanc, Viognier, Muscat Ottonel and Traminer.
In the cultivation of vines are used different vineyard practices such as green pruning, stabbing and tieing of the canes, eliminating some of the foliage and green harvesting.
Located just a few hours away from the cosmopolitan Istanbul and the sunny beaches of Greece, Katarzyna Estate successfully combines the pleasure of walking in the vineyards and tasting remarkable wines with visiting the many cultural monuments, which the region is famous for.

The impressive restaurant Katarzyna Estate, suitable for holding different types of events, is open for all guests of the mansion. In many places in the cellar murals depict the meeting of the Dionysian and Eleusinian mysteries with their Thracian roots.
Katarzyna Estate is a real bridge between wine and art, an inspiration to anyone who has felt the scent of vineyards and has sipped wine elixirs from the winery.
