Ski Holidays in Bulgaria
Bulgaria is very special in our ecologically unstable times — this wonderful country has all four seasons!
Winter comes here in December and the ski season usually lasts until April. The coldest month in the year is January with an average temperature of minus 4,4 Celsius.
Mountains constitute one third of the country’s territory. The three largest mountain ranges Rila, Pirin and Rodopi are situated in the south and south-west of Bulgaria. Consequently there are three main skiing resorts (a resort for each mountain) — these are Borovets, Bansko and Pamporovo. All three resorts have great hotels, modern ski-lifts, green-blue-red-black well-kept ski-runs, competent instructors and places where you can rent ski gear.
Ski holidays in Bulgaria have the same advantages as sea holidays — very beautiful nature, excellent wine, delicious food and complete emotional understanding between the tourists and the native habitans.
One may also add that you can go for very interesting trips across the country to visit the tourist sites from any one of the ski resorts.
