Balchik and Kavarna

Balchik is a quiet small town, located on the north part of the Bulgarian Black sea coast, near the resorts Albena, Kranevo, Golden Sands, and 43 km away from the city of Varna.
Balchik combines traces of the customs and the traditions of different ancient cultures with modern trends. The most famous landmarks of the town are the architectural and garden complex “The Palace” (“Dvoretza”), which used to be a summer residence of the former Romanian queen Marie, and the Balchik Botanical Garden, that houses the second largest (after the one in Monaco) cacti collection in Europe, together with many other unique plant species.
A cutting-edge yacht port has been constructed in Balchik with a capacity for mooring 60 yachts. Yachting tourism sector is well developed. There are sea trips, fishing tours, pirate ship battles, romantic night cruises, trips to cape Kaliakra etc.
Kavarna is situated in a gulf, 20 km away from Balchik. The town is a resort centre with a wide coast and spacious beaches, renowned for its naturally carved cliffs that are extremely picturesque.
In addition to its natural beauties, Kavarna offers many places for entertainment, suitable for every taste. Golf tourism is very well established here. Golf courses are designed and built in accordance to the world standards and are visited by golfers from all over the world.
Balchik and Kavarna provide a wonderful place for a sterling holiday and sports, and in the same time remain marvelous areas with beautiful nature and rich history.
