Address: Bulgaria, Sopot
Chateau Copsa winery is located in the Sub-Balkan region (the so called Podbalkanski region) in the famous Valley of Roses, near the town of Sopot, about an hour away from Plovdiv.

Built in 2005, it is one of the few family-owned wineries in Bulgaria. Its architecture represents the one of a castle from the early Middle Ages, with oval towers at the four corners of the main building.

The climate in the region is typical for the foot of the mountain Sredna Gora - a cool mountain climate, making the area very suitable for cooling the grapes before fermentation, as well as for the process of fermentation itself. All this makes it possible to achieve high concentration of aromas in the wines produced.

It is only in the region of the winery where the unique for Bulgaria grape variety Red Misket grows and is grown. In addition to this particular variety the vineyards are also planted with Muscat Ottonel, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The production and the bottling of the wine are carried out in the town of Klisura. The capacity of the winery is 320 000 liters and on average are produced about 300 000 bottles with the brand Chateau Copsa.

In Chateau Copsa winery are offered various types of tastings and the food in the restaurant at the winery is being cooked in front of the visitors, in accordance with their  preferences.
