. . . . . .
Address: Bulgaria, Sofia
For the most inquisitive of you we offer a visit to the famous Boyana church in Sofia. For several decades the place has not been available for tourists due to continued restoration works. Now that the church is open, it enchants the visitors with unique frescoes everyday (except on Monday). The Boyana church is dedicated to St. Nicholas and St. Panteleimon and is one of the most significant, emblematic monuments from the medieval history of Bulgaria. It has gained a well-deserved place in the UNESCO World heritage list. The church is actually a branch of the National Museum of History in Sofia and also offers a very interesting art-historical exposition.
