Pleven - Sofia - Rila monastery - Plovdiv - two-day trip:
Day 1: Departure to Pleven. This trip will let us follow the tracks of the Russian military glory. Tourists will visit the battlefield where in 1877 the detachment of general Skobelev fought bloody battles. From that time on this blood-soaked land is called “The dead valley”
The sole panorama on the Balkan peninsula - the “Pleven epopee 1877”, rises in the park of Pleven. The architecture of the building symbolizes the three assaults and the blockade of the town. Sightseeing of the panorama. Lunch. Departure to Sofia.  Tour across the capital. Walk in the central part of the town and a visit to St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Russian Church. Free time. Departure to the Rila Monastery. Dinner and night stay at a place near the monastery.
Day 2: Breakfast. Attending the morning service, sightseeing of the monastery and the museum. Departure to Plovdiv via the resort of Borovets. Lunch. Walk across the Old town of Plovdiv - an architectural museum from the Bulgarian Revival period, sightseeing of the Ancient Theater, which dates back to Roman times, when Plovdiv was called Philippopolis. Free time. Return to the resort.
